What is Single Sort Recycling?
Single Sort recycling from Allied Waste allows you to throw all recyclable materials into one cart – no sorting or separating of the materials is needed, we’ll do it for you! We’ll provide you with a new, specially designed recycling cart that you can place all recyclables into.
Why is Allied Waste Switching to Single Sort Recycling?
Single sort recycling is the easiest and most convenient way for citizens to recycle. No sorting is needed, and we’ll provide a wheeled, easy-to-move, nice looking cart with an attached lid.
When will the new Single Sort Recycling program start?
The new Single Sort recycling carts will be delivered to all participating Lynden Township residents. If you missed the December 7th, 2007 recycling pickup, you can still leave your old bin out and Allied will replace it. Please leave your existing Lynden Township provided recycle bin out where we can easily see it we will come through your neighborhood and deliver a 64 gallon recycle cart. Feel free to keep your existing bin but remember our new automated trucks can only pick up recycling in your newly provided cart. So please discontinue setting out your bin from this point forward. The first Single Sort Recycling pickup will be on Friday December 21st 2007. This will be the same every other Friday schedule you are accustomed to. For your convenience we have enclosed a calendar noting your pickup week. Please place your recycling cart out by 6:00 am on your service day.
What size is the new Single Sort Recycling cart?
The new recycling cart has 64 gallons of capacity. It stands 39” tall, is 25” wide, and is 27” deep.
If you are not currently participating in the Lynden Township Recycle program and would like to start please call Allied Waste Services at 320-252-9608 and we will deliver a recycle cart out to your residence.
